What’s Your Style?
I love bold, colorful, and playful images that capture your personality, spirit, and story. My style is very fluid and natural, and I focus on capturing all the spontaneous and candid moments that make up your wedding day.
For me, the perfect photo is one that captures you as your most authentic self. It’s a photo that is rich with emotion and will let you relive that experience time and time again when you look at it.
Wedding Photography FAQ
What do your wedding packages and collections start at?
Elopement/intimate wedding collections start at $2400 and Weddings start at $3400
How many hours do you recommend for a traditional wedding?
If you’re planning a full-day wedding, I’d recommend booking 8-9 hours. This gives me enough time to photograph from the getting ready session through the first part of the reception. Need help imagining what your wedding timeline could look like? Send me an email and I’ll send you a guide to help you imagine your own wedding timeline.
What’s the deposit fee for a wedding collection?
All wedding collections require a $1000 retainer fee to hold the date. The remaining amount is due 1 month before the wedding.
Do I need a second shooter?
I recommend a second shooter for weddings with over 125 guests and/or your wedding has multiple venues. For example, if the couple is getting ready in separate locations, I recommend having a photographer at each location.
Will you stay through the reception?
For most weddings, I stay for the first hour of dancing. This typically gives me enough time to capture you dancing with your family and friends. But if you have something like a sparkler exit or an important moment at the end of your reception you’d like captured, I’d recommend adding an hour or two to your collection.
Do you take precautions to keep yourself safe from COVID?
I am taking every precaution mandated by the CDC to ensure that both you and I are safe during the shoot. Expect to see me with a mask and bottle of hand sanitizer. Even from 6ft away, you’ll get amazing photos.
General FAQ
Where are you located?
I live in the city that raised me, Portland OR.
Do you travel?
I love traveling for both pleasure and work! If you’re getting married outside of the Portland area I would be happy to drive or fly to you.
Do you have insurance?
Yup! All my gear is insured and I carry liability insurance. It’s important for me to keep this up to date as it ensures both the safety of myself and my clients
Do you back up your images?
Backing up my images is one of the most important steps in my process. The moment I get back from your shoot, your images are stored on multiple hard drives and on a cloud server.
Do you edit all the images?
A final selection of images from your wedding will be edited in-house and delivered to you. These images will be sized for print as well as for digital download. If you’d like an image to be retouched, there is an additional fee.
When can I expect my images after the wedding?
I like to post a preview asap, so expect to see a few photos on IG a couple of days after your wedding. Your full gallery will be ready about 4 weeks after your wedding date.
Do you have an hourly rate?
While you can’t hire me per hour, you can add hours to any collection. My rate is $300/hr.
How many photos do we get?
While I can’t guarantee the number of images because every wedding is different, I can guarantee you’ll receive the right amount of images that will tell the story of your wedding day! Typically out of the thousands of images I’ll take on your wedding day, I’ll deliver between 500-1200 images.
PREFERRED VENDORS
I want to highlight a new vendor directory I’m honored to be a part of called Vendors Of Color. Local photographer Marcela Pulido and Wedding planner Jaime Ta created the directory to showcase BIPOC wedding vendors in the Portland area. So often are BIPOC professionals erased from the wedding industry. It feels crucial that we have a platform to better connect these vendors with clients.
As a Japanese American, I’m proud to be a part of this network and look forward to continuing to do my part to lift BIPOC voices up in the wedding industry.
